Thank the lawd.
After much googling and searching around the TypePad knowledge base I've finally found how to add the must-have "add to del.icio.us" footer to posts on my TypePad blog here.
This will allow readers of this blog, whether regular or those that found me by some "long tail" niche search engine search, to quickly add a post of mine to their del.icio.us online bookmarks.
If you're wondering why having this function is so important on a successful blog, read this overview of the importance of social bookmarking for Search Engine Optimisation purposes.
But in short, it's to stimulate people to be adding my blog posts to del.icio.us, because this will help more people find that same post, and therefore hear my opinion on that topic.
I've deliberately written this post in the hope that it will be found for others looking for the same information because despite being a seasoned finder-of-info-on-the-web I was starting to struggle.
This functionality can be added to your TypePad blog using Feedburner's FeedFlare service
Set up a FeedBurner account, and then go to the Optimize tab in your My Account area of their website. Find FeedFlare down the left-hand side navigation and then start following FeedBurner's superb instructions (which include mini movie clips of how to do stuff - how superb is that for customer service - I love these guys even more now).
