I'm really enjoying Facebook at the moment.
I had my sugar high and then low with it, but as usage of it here in the UK matures it's getting pretty funny.
What I'm enjoying is stumbling upon things I love, that I also find others are loving, cherishing and congregating around.
And with my marketing hat on what's cool and interesting is how the people are organising themselves within 'THE PLATFORM' that is Facebook, particularly around brands, and particularly without - it seems - the involvement of those brands. Social media goodness unlocked and flowing freely...
Like the Red Roaster, Brighton, which is easily the best independent coffee shop in the UK. The Red Roaster (also known as RedRoaster, and by the newbies, Red Rooster (derrrr)) creates elitist addicted advocates by the latte-load.
There's a group on Facebook.
That's a growing fat dollop of social media goodness and brand advocacy, and a swirly the-people-love-the-product tick for them.
And check out the numerous photos in Flickr. Another extravagant thick nibbed social media tick!
Seth Godin's purple cows. The remarkable are winning. Their word of mouth buzz is free and all-powerful. 'No advertising needed here'.
